Public Workshop by Tristan Cai – From Ideas to Image
April 6 @ 2:30 pm - 6:30 pm$80
In the study and practice of photography as an art form, we often hear phrases such as developing ‘a creative voice’, ‘having a good eye’ or ‘making photographs that holds our attention’.
All of these can sound abstract and thus hard to achieve. In this workshop, we will explore practical visual strategies through surveying and deconstructing the works of an array of artists in an informal seminar format. Participants will then break out into an independent shooting session and finally a slideshow sharing of images created by workshop participants.
This workshop is designed for beginning / intermediate practitioners who wish to enhance their visual literacy in the language of art photography. Participants will be expected to have basic technical knowledge of how to operate a camera as it will not be taught in this workshop.
Participants to bring their camera.
Digital cameras will be be available on loan for this workshop, indicate your need for a camera on registration.
Max Capacity: 12 pax
Date: 6th April 2019, Saturday
Time: 2.30 pm – 6.30 pm
Duration: 4 hours
